This course covers NZQA Unit Standards 23229 and 15757. This course will provide you with the skills to identify the correct equipment, carry out pre-use checks and learn how to use the harness safely in conjunction with other height safety equipment. We will guide you through the inspection of various fall arrest systems, ropes and knots. With our purpose-built indoor training facility, we provide practical scenarios that will focus on the installation of proprietary height safety systems, anchor points, rescue plans and restraint systems. This course also covers any hazards associated with scaffolds, EWP, walkways, ramps and stairways.
Harness Safety & Height Safety Systems
NZQA 23229 - Use a safety harness for personal fall protection when working at Height. Level 3, 4 Credits
NZQA 15757 - Use, install, and disestablish proprietary fall arrest systems when working at height. Level 4, 4 Credits
This Height safety course will cover requirements under the Health and Safety in Employment (HSE) Act 1992 and HSE Regulations 1995 and Best Practice Guidelines for Working at Height.
