CPD - Continuing Professional Development

The requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) was introduced on 1 January 2016 by WorkSafe and was set out in the gazette notice.

Key learning areas covered in the CPD course is:

Leadership

  • Managing errors.
  • Understand the concepts and principles of error.
  • Understand predisposing factors that can create unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Classify types of human error.
  • Reason Human Error theory
  • Workplace practices how human factors contributed to an incident.
  • How can we manage differently to reduce error.
