ACT Safety is extremely proud to announced that we are now able to provide our Extractive Learners with an National Certificate issued by the New Zealand Qualification Authority NZQA on completion of a A or B Grade Mining Administration Surface Extraction – Level 5 and A or B Grade Mining Administration Tunnel Manager – Level 6.
Mining Administration Qualification (A and B Grade) programmes are designed for firstline or site managers who would like to gain certification as opencast coal mine managers.
Gain a National Qualification for a Level 5 and 6 programme with ACT Safety, our flexible programmes will allow training to take place within a safe environment Zoom online with our trainers. Programmes expected to take 6 to 12 months to complete. The training programme incorporates a mix of practical training and assessment, undertaken in the workplace, and theory learning and assessment, allowing you to complete theory elements of the programme at your own pace.
You may complete one or both of the following qualifications at the same time: • The National Certificate in Extractive Industries (Mining Administration B Grade Tunnel Manager) (Level 5) which is a prerequisite for the A Grade qualification • The Level 6 National Certificate in Extractive Industries (Mining Administration) with a strand in A Grade Tunnel Manager. Programme Outline The National Certificate in Extractive Industries (Mining Administration B Grade Tunnel Manager) (Level 5) covers: • Regulatory requirements • Safety checks and plans • Site construction and maintenance • Extraction sites • Environmental impacts. The optional strand in Coal Mine Deputy covers: • Problem solving • Underground extraction theory.
