Prepare yourself with the knowledge and technical skills to determine if a suitable atmosphere exists to conduct work safely by determining whether there are any harmful gases, including high or low levels of oxygen or excessive levels of toxic or flammable gases that could pose a danger to humans or the environment.

Gas Detection Introduction

NZQA 25510 - Operate an atmospheric testing device to determine a suitable atmosphere exists to work safely - Level 3, 4 Credits

Optionally:

NZQA 3058 - Perform gas tests for an energy and chemical plant - Level 4, 5 Credits

Course overview:

This course will train to demonstrate knowledge of atmospheric testing in potentially hazardous environments; conduct atmospheric tests; and interpret and respond to atmospheric testing results.
