US 17602 – Apply hazard identification and risk assessment procedures in the workplace

Overview

On the completion of this course the trainees will be able to;

  • Describe hazards that may harm workers, harm the work environment and organisations
  • Explain health and safety requirements for hazard control
  • Describe the hazard control methods
  • Identify hazards and apply risk assessment procedures

Purpose of the Training

  • Understand the responsibility of PCBU and workers under the HSW Act
  • Describe hazard control methods in terms for monitoring their effectiveness
  • Complete organisational documentation on hazard identification and risk assessment.
  • The Hierarchy of Control from HSW (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016 is described in terms of minimizing and eliminating

Course Duration

Public course; 7 hours with previous sign off from site – $230 + GST per trainee

In-house course; 8 hours – $200 + GST per trainee – minimum 8 & maximum 12 trainees
